Khushi Kaur is a well known singer, actor and model. She is known for her movie Saal 18. She has done 31 Hindi and Punjabi video songs. She is also a theatre artist from Shri Ram Theatre.
She is currently working on 2 Bollywood movies which will be releasing next year.
1- Hey Khushi Kaur, great to have you for an interview. What first got you into music?
I used to hear many Punjabi and Hindi songs during my childhood and always tried to sing them. When I was 12 or 13 years old, I joined music classes in Gurudwara, and there I practised singing with a harmonium. My journey as a musician began from there.
2- Who inspired you to make music?
My grandfather motivated me as he always used to appreciate my singing and music skills. I used to sing many songs for him whenever we went on a walk together.
3-Who would you most like to collaborate with?
Garry Sandhu and Honey Singh are the singers I adore the most, and I would like to collaborate with them someday.
4-How do you manage so many things? What is your mantra to balance all?
Whenever I have a lot of work to do, I meditate to calm myself up, and most of the time, I feel relaxed and calm because of it.
5-If you could go open a show for any artist, who would it be?
Undoubtedly, Garry Sandhu! He is my favourite.
6-What is one message you would give to your fans?
Don’t try to copy someone else; try to find the talent inside you. You can do wonders with it.
7-What would you be doing now, if it weren’t for your music career?
I am an actor also, so if I weren’t a musician, I would have been an actor only.
8-What are the projects you are working on?
I am currently working on some of my songs.
9-What is your favourite song to perform? Which famous musicians do you admire?
I love many songs equally, so it is difficult for me to choose anyone. I admire Lata Mangeshkar Ji.
10-If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
The music Industry is self-changing, so I would not change anything in it. It is good as it is.
11-What best advice you’ve been given, and would you like to share for upcoming musicians?
If you have musical skills, you should show them to the world using social media. Social Media is an advantage for today’s musicians, who should use it to show their talent.
