Actress Taapsee Pannu says she nearly shot the entire movie with no vision to make Blurr’s performance more nuanced and authentic.
The actress, who will be seen in a double role, one of which is blind, is making her production debut in Blurr, and the movie just released its first official trailer.
Sharing about the film, Taapsee Pannu shared, “The only way to be true to the portrayal of being blind was to be one. Half the film with almost zero vision is the new challenge #Blurr threw at me. And all this when I’ve always been told an actor’s strongest weapon is to emote with eyes. #BlurrMoments”
While sharing the trailer, Pannu wrote, “If you can’t see it, can you escape it? #BlurrOnZEE5, premieres 9th Dec #Blurr #ZEE5 @gulshandevaiah78 #AjayBahl #PawanSony @zee5 @manish_kalra_ @zeestudiosofficial #OutsidersFilms @echelonproduction @itsvishalrana @pranjalnk @Pradeepjpsharma @manavdurga @zee5global”
Gautami, Gayatri’s twin sister, commits herself in the trailer’s opening scene (played by Taapsee). Although the forensic reports show that she committed suicide, Gayatri is unsure of this and thinks that her sister is incapable of doing so. Her eyesight also begins to deteriorate, and the doctor advises that she get surgery as she begins to unravel the mystery behind her death.
Additionally, her research revealed numerous secrets and realities about her sister. However, she endures a lot during this process, and the trailer concludes with Gayatri entirely losing her vision.
The movie, directed by Ajay Bahl and starring Gulshan Devaiah, can be shown starting on December 9 on ZEE5.
