It is well known that Darlings, a film starring Alia Bhatt, will be her digital film debut. Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Alia are a Netflix original’s main characters in this dark comedy. Recently, the film’s makers released the teaser on social media, giving fans a sneak peek at this exciting tale. We got to see Alia in a different context. Alia will play a mystery character in this film, much like she did in the hit Gangubai Kathiawadi.
On their Instagram profiles, Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah posted the trailer with all of their followers. As she shared the clip, Alia Bhatt added, “My first film as a producer!!! So excited, nervous, thrilled emotional to share it with you!!! DARLINGS TRAILER OUT NOW!”
It portrays Alia and Vijay as a couple following the teaser. However, the actual mystery is only revealed when Alia and her mom Shefali visit the police station to report the missing complaint of Hamza, a.k.a. Vijay. However, in reality, they abduct him, torture him in every possible manner, and then present themselves as innocent. The trailer also showed how Alia was mistreated and tortured by Vijay, and thus the mother-daughter team attempts to take exact revenge. Therefore, we must wait and see how Hamza gets free from Shefali and Alia.
