Rajeev Khandelwal Speaks Out About The Dark Side Of The Bollywood’s Casting Couch

Rajeev Khandelwal remains one of the most well-liked actors in the film and television industry and has a huge fan base, particularly among women. The actor recently opened up about his experience on the casting couch and discussed how working with women in the entertainment industry is difficult. He was most recently seen in Shahid Kapoor’s blockbuster “Bloody Daddy.”

Although there is a lot of talk about the casting couch, and we frequently see women making strong statements, it can also be difficult for guys to make it in the entertainment industry. Men and women have diverse experiences because of the differences in their innate nature.

During a recent interview with India Today, Rajeev Khandelwal spoke candidly about the casting couch in the industry. He revealed, “People talk about women’s safety, but men, too, have challenges. Men don’t report it as much, and women’s things get a lot of momentum. Having said that, I have also faced the casting couch. For some odd reason, our society feels ‘Ha theek hain, ladka hain, manage kar liya hoga isne.”

Rajeev Khandelwal spoke about his experience and stated, “Men, I think, can overcome. They are made like that, I believe. Tomorrow, if I go through the casting couch…. I have said it in the past, but you come back and say, ‘Oh, I have dealt with it, and I am back’. I have heard from many women that they feel dirty from the inside. I didn’t feel dirty from the inside. I abused that person in my head and said, ‘Sorry, boss, I am not going to give in to that’. Men and women are made differently, but things have changed drastically.”

Rajeev explained that people react differently to males and women and that because of past events surrounding the time when women experienced inequality, people are more sympathetic toward women.
