The Drishyam franchise’s Meera Deshmukh character was the most challenging part actress Tabu has ever taken on. Tabu is recognised for taking on demanding and complex roles with ease.
On the sidelines of the Drishyam campaign in Mumbai, Tabu was talking with the media
Talking about her role in the movie and its conflicted morality, Tabu said, “It was a difficult role for me because all these emotions are complicated, and there are a lot of issues in her. She needs to be true to her profession, so the sense of being righteous is there, but what she feels is entirely something else. She is feeling it; everyone is human in film and feeling the same emotion, and despite knowing what is right and wrong, you just cannot seem to get past your feelings. So that was the struggle being Meera Deshmukh in Drishyam”
“It is one of my most difficult roles on-screen and one of the most difficult characters I have ever played”, added Tabu.
Abhishek Pathak is the director of Drishyam 2, which stars Rajat Kapoor, Shriya Saran, Akshaye Khanna, Ishita Dutta, and Ajay Devgn. It is the follow-up to Drishyam and a remake of the same-titled 2021 Malayalam movie (2015). The movie will debut in theatres on November 18, 2022.
Actress Tabu is now working on Kuttey, Khufiya, and Bholaa in addition to Drishyam 2.
