Vicky Kaushal is ready to play the character of revolutionary Sardar Udham Singh in his upcoming film Sardar Udham. Directed by Shoojit Sircar. Makers of the film shared the new look of Vicky Kaushal on social media. The film will release digitally on Amazon Prime Video.
Taking Twitter, Amazon Prime Video India shared Vicky Kaushal’s new look from the film. They shared his photo as Udham Singh when he was in prison. In the picture, Vicky can be seen in grey hair, scars on his forehead, and wearing white clothes of jail. Sharing this image on Twitter, Amazon Prime Video India wrote, “1931, Prison, India. Udham Singh was in prison for possession of prohibited papers “Ghadr-i-Gunj” (“Voice of Revolt”). He was released later but under constant surveillance. Soon, he escaped to Europe and never got to return to India. #sardarUdhamOnPrime, Oct 16.”
The film is based on the story of revenge. Sardar Udham will showcase the journey of the brave man who made sure the world never forgets the lives of his beloved friends who were brutally killed in the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre in 1919. He shot General O’Dwyer in London to take revenge. He was hanged in July 1940 after being convicted of murder.
Sardar Udam will release on Amazon Prime Video on October 16. Produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar under the banner of Rising Sun Films. The film also stars Banita Sandhu and Amol Parashar in a pivotal roles.
