Jujutsu Kaisen, JugJugg Jeeyo and Rocketry Box Office collection

Four films this weekend—Jujutsu Kaisen, OM, Rocketry, and JugJugg Jeeyo—attracted audiences from all social classes, making it a successful weekend for theatre owners in the Hindi belts.

The box office success of R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is still going strong. The movie opened slowly on Friday, earning Rs 75 lakh, but then saw increases of 65 per cent and 42 per cent on Saturday, collecting 1.25 crores and on Sunday, bringing the opening weekend total to Rs 3.75 crore. Early indications indicate that the Nambi Narayanan biopic would also do well at the box office on Monday.

The data indicates that the Monday collections of Rocketry might be more extensive than the Friday biz. However, we have just gotten small samples from the morning, midday, and early evening performances. According to early indications, day four will likely bring in between Rs 80 and Rs 85 lakh on Monday, bringing the total to Rs 4.60 crore.

Jujutsu Kaisen, a Japanese film, is a success and the highest-grossing foreign-language movie in India (non-Hollywood). The film made Rs 4.30 crore in its first four days of release, and this success can be credited to the cult following of anime. Throughout the four-day weekend, the film brought in Rs 1.50 crore, Rs 70 lakh, Rs 90 lakh, and Rs 1.20 crore. On Monday, it’s anticipated to bring in another 25 lakh.  Om flopped at the box office on Monday as was to be expected, earning less than Rs 8 crore in India. In its second weekend, the carryover release Jug Jugg Jeeyo is displaying a promising sign. We estimate a 22 to 27 per cent decline from the second Friday, with revenues falling in the range of Rs 2.00 to 2.15 crore, based on early patterns up till 7 pm. The movie’s 11-day gross is expected to be about Rs. 67.50 crore.
