Inspirational movies in Indian cinema

We all dream of being successful in our field of expertise; one major thing we all lack is an inspiration. Often sources of motivation are people, stories and some actual life incident. And one of the best mediums we all get all of these is movies. Indian cinema has made some great movies that have given motivation to many. Such are the movies that everyone should see. Below are the names of a few:

1- Border

The border is a patriotic and motivational Bollywood movie. This movie is based on the India vs Pakistan war in 1971. This inspirational movie shows how willpower and positive thinking can change the impossible. 

2- Bombay

Bombay is one of the best movies based on fights between Hindus and Muslims in 1993 in Bombay. The movie is highly emotional and inspirational about how all should stay together despite wars or anything to maintain peace.

3- Swades

Swades is a highly motivational film directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. Through his story, he has effortlessly touched upon topics such as casteism and social irregularities. This movie inspires you and simultaneously makes you feel a bit proud of your country.

4- Nayak: The Real Hero

This is one motivational movie that describes India’s political system. This motivational movie will show action, emotion, comedy and drama.

5- Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

This movie is based on the real journey of a legendary sportsman Milkha Singh. This movie shows how he joined the Indian army and later was recognized as a promising athlete. It showcases his challenging journey and is very inspirational because it shows dignity, dedication and discipline.

6- Chak De! India

Chak De! India is a movie that will permanently reinstate your belief in yourself. It is about an Indian hockey team of girls who lose faith, then the ex-captain of the hockey team takes a chance on them and coaches them to victory. 

7- 3 Idiots

3 Idiots is not only a comedy movie but a great Hindi motivational movie. The movie revolves around the lives of engineering students Rancho, Raju and Farhan, who studies at an institute in Delhi. The film is about the enormous pressure students take upon themselves to prove their worth and how important it is to learn for the love of it and not for the love of marks. 

8- Taare Zameen Par

Taare Zameen Par is a beautiful and motivational movie about a boy named Ishaan who is forced to join a hostel and dislikes it immensely. Due to the disturbing ambience, he leaves painting, his favourite hobby. Ishaan’s new art teacher notices his discomfort and takes him under his wing. The little boy flourishes and soon starts acting like himself. 

9- Wake Up, Sid

The plot centres on Sid, a rich brat who doesn’t appreciate the value of money, as the title suggests. He must navigate life on his own and does so admirably. He discovers his passion and employs his craft to pursue his aspirations.

10- English Vinglish

This movie is about a mother who does everything for her kids but is never appreciated and made fun of because of her weak English. After coming to the United States alone to attend her niece’s wedding, she rediscovers herself in Manhattan and finds her voice in the bustling city.
