The dynamic and fashionable actor Ranveer Singh, who will be seen in Cirkus playing a dual part for the first time in his career, claims that comedy is the most challenging genre to master and that it serves as an actual test for all actors.
Ranveer Singh mingled with the media at the song premiere for Current Laga Re in Mumbai.
Talking about the film and its genre, actor Ranveer Singh said, “I think out of all genres, comedy is a very difficult one to pull off. It is the litmus test for any actor or a storyteller because if you miss the beat for the punchline, it can collapse in no time.”
“My humorous side comes out the best when I work with Rohit Shetty because he is the king of comedy and has been doing it for close to 16 years now”, added the actor.
The comedy-drama Cirkus, directed by Rohit Shetty, is based on The Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare. In addition to Ranveer Singh and Varun Sharma, the cast includes Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sanjay Mishra, Johnny Lever, and others.
Cirkus will have a global theatrical debut on December 23, 2022, which is Christmas Eve.
In addition to Cirkus, actor Ranveer Singh has Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani scheduled for release. The movie is produced by Dharma Productions and directed by Karan Johar. The critical parts in the film are also played by Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, and Alia Bhatt.
