Director Rohit Shetty announced that actress Deepika Padukone will be donning the khaki uniform for his cop universe as they are all set to work together during the song launch for his upcoming movie “Cirkus.”
The announcement was made on stage by Rohit, who attended the ‘Current Laga Re’ movie premiere alongside Ranveer Singh and Deepika.
He said: “People keep asking me about Singhma’s next part. Today let me take his opportunity to say that Deepika and I will work together next year.”
In 2013, the Shah Rukh Khan-starring film “Chennai Express,” in which Rohit and Deepika previously collaborated, was released. After ten years, the actress and director would finally be collaborating.
Cirkus’ debut single, Current Laga Re, is currently available. Lijo George and Dj Chetas wrote the song, and Nakash Aziz, Dhvani Bhanushali, Jonita Gandhi, and Lijo George contributed vocals. The upbeat music received 400k hits within hours of becoming live.
Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Varun Sharma play dual roles in the movie Cirkus. Ajay Devgn and Deepika Padukone both make cameo appearances. T-Series and Rohit Shetty Productionz collaborated to produce the film.
Cirkus will have a global theatrical debut on December 23, 2022, which is Christmas Eve.
