Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha are expecting their first child together. The couple announced the news sweetly and innovatively on Instagram. With the release of their critically acclaimed film Girls Will Be Girls, which made its Sundance Film Festival debut last month, the actors recently became producers.
On Friday, Richa and her husband, Ali Fazal, shared a joint post on their respective accounts. The equation in the first picture was unique: “1 + 1 = 3.” The second picture shows the couple looking into each other’s eyes. Ali wore a brightly colored shirt and a white overcoat, while Richa wore a black dress with frill sleeves. At the bottom of the image was an emoji that seemed pregnant.
The text in the post’s caption said, “A tiny heartbeat is the loudest sound in our world.” Actors Elnaaz Norouzi, Saiyami Kher, Shweta Basu Prasad, and Shriya Pilgaonkar were among those who sent their well wishes to the newlyweds in the comments section.
On the set of their hit franchise, Fukrey, Richa, and Ali met for the first time. In 2022, they eventually got married. In an episode of the Netflix India Original series Call My Agent, they also appeared on screen together. Recently, they provided voice for the Audible Original Virus 2062. Along the way, they became producers of the Sundance-winning film Girls Will Be Girls.
