Actor Shahid Kapoor recently shared a poster of his upcoming film ‘Jersey,’ the Hindi remake of the 2019 Telugu blockbuster of the same name. The actor also revealed that the trailer of the sports drama would be unveiled at 5.30 pm tomorrow (November 23).
Taking Twitter, Shahid shared the film’s new poster along with the caption, “ITS TIME! We have waited to share this emotion with you for 2 years. This story is special. This team is special. This character is special. And the fact that we get to share it on the big screen with you all is special. I don’t have words to express my gratitude. I hope you all feel what I felt when I played him. Here we go.”
It is the Hindi remake of a successful Telugu film of the same name. Jersey’s story is about the failed cricketer named Arjun, who decides to make a comeback in his late thirties and play for India to fulfill his son’s wish. Actor Nani played the lead role and Shraddha Srinath in a female lead.
Produced by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill, Dil Raju, and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and co-produced by Bunny Vas. Jersey has been directed by the National Award-winning filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri, who has also directed the original Telugu film.
The film will release in theatres on December 31, 2021.
