The Archies feature film adaptation for Netflix has finished production, says director Zoya Akhtar. Tiger Baby Films and Graphic India will produce the movie, including Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, and Khushi Kapoor, as Archie Andrews, Veronica, and Betty, respectively.
Sharing the pictures of the wrap-up party on her social media profile, Zoya Akhtar captioned her post, “Archieeeeeessssss! Film Wrap. Best Crew. Best Cast. Only Gratitude #TheArchiesonNetflix @reemakagti1 @angaddevsingh_ @tigerbabyofficial @ArchieComics @graphicindia @netflix_in @dotandthesyllables #AgastyaNanda @khushi05k @mihirahuja_ @suhanakhan2 @vedangraina @yuvrajmenda”
Archie Andrews and his pals from the comic book are slated for an Indian movie adaptation. Known director Zoya Akhtar will helm a live-action musical about coming-of-age based on the Riverdale teens and set in 1960s India.
Akhtar and Reema Kagti for Tiger Baby and Sharad Devarajan for Graphic India will create the major motion picture version of India’s very popular Archie comics.
In a recent movie teaser, Suhana was seen with long black hair that resembled Veronica’s, while Khushi got bangs. Agastya didn’t have Archie’s fabled red hair, but it appeared that he had curled his hair in the same manner as the character with a faint red tint.
In 2023, Netflix will begin streaming The Archies, a film that also stars Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda.
