Salman Khan discussed nepotism in the 1990s, even admitting that he is fortunate to be Salim Khan’s son.
In Bollywood, nepotism has always been a source of debate. While many celebrity children defend themselves against nepotism, others have publicly accepted it without reservation. Salman Khan started his career in the 1988 film Biwi Ho To Aisi as a supporting character. The actor is one of the few celebrities who acknowledged being a product of nepotism decades before it became a hot topic. Khan has already discussed it in the 1990s, even admitting that he is fortunate to be Salim Khan’s son.
Salman Khan was named one of the ten most attractive men in the world in 1997. When queried about the list, though, the superstar was described by Showtime Magazine as responding, “I saw that news item too and took the compliment in stride.” I have no idea who bestowed this title on me, and I don’t think it’s true. Thousands of boys in Bandra, where I live, are more attractive than me, and I wish I looked like them when I see them.”
Khan went on to say that he is fortunate to be Salim Khan’s son and to be working in this profession. “God knows what I would be doing today if I hadn’t been born in my father’s house! I didn’t accomplish anything to earn this title; it was bestowed upon me. It’s all because of God’s grace. So why should I claim credit for something I didn’t even have to lift a finger? I respect the things I’ve worked hard for, no matter how unimportant they look to others, “Salman explained.
On the other hand, Salman Khan is now a superstar with a large fan base. On the work front, Salman Khan will next be seen in the film Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, which also stars Pooja Hegde. Farhad Samji is directing the film. Salman Khan started filming for Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali just a few days ago, and Salman confirmed that he had begun filming for the movie after releasing the first look. Pooja Hegde just released her first snapshot from the film set, and she seems ecstatic to start filming with Salman on this romcom.
