It is always tragic when you hear of the death of an actor who was able to change so many people’s lives via their work. Sadly, Bhairavi Vaidya has passed away. She was an actress who starred in movies with Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, including Taal and Chori Chori Chupke Chupke.
Actress Bhairavi Vaidya died on October 8 at the age of 67, according to a report in the ETimes. For the last six months, she had been fighting cancer. The actress has worked on numerous television series, plays, and films throughout her long career, lasting four and a half decades. Vaidya was also a well-known name in Gujarati cinema; most recently, she appeared in the TV programs Nima Denzongpa, Hasratein, and Mahisagar. Vaidya also appeared in the Ventilator movie, which starred Jackie Shroff and Pratik Gandhi.
She has worked in films including Humraaz, What’s Your Rashee, Hera Pheri, Kya Dil Ne Kaha, among others, in Bollywood. Taal, a 1999 Subhash Ghai film starring Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, included Vaidya in a supporting role. In addition to this, she also had a supporting role in the 2001 movie Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, which starred Salman Khan, Preity Zinta, and Rani Mukerji.
Her daughter, Janki Vaidya, recently paid tribute to her mother on Instagram. Janki shared a photo and said, “For me, you Are my,
Maa, Mom, Mummy, Choti, Bhairavi…A Colourful, Fearless, Creative, Caring, Responsible! 1st an Actor, Than a Wife and than a Parent!!!”
Janki remembers her mother as somebody who was able to “build her name in the industry” in her lengthy post.
