Iconic actor Sameer Khakhar, well-known for his role as Khopdi in the television series Nukkad, died at 71. His respiratory issues led to his hospitalization at the MM Hospital in Borivali. Ganesh Khakhar, his brother, confirmed that he had passed away. He disclosed that the actor passed away this morning at 4.30 am. The funeral for Sameer Khakhar was reportedly held at Babhai Naka Crematorium in Borivali in the morning.
Ganesh disclosed to ANI that his brother passed away earlier this morning. He stated, “He experienced some respiratory issues yesterday morning, we called the doctor & he told us to get him admitted. We took him to the hospital & he was admitted to ICU. He then had multiple organ failures & today, at 4.30 am, he passed away. He was 71.”
His fans could be seen mourning for him shortly after news of his passing surfaced. Many remembered their pleasant memories of him. Sameer Khakhar appeared in many other programs, including Adaalat, Circus, Naya Nukkad, Manorajan and Shrimaan Shrimati. He also appeared recently in the tv show Farzi alongside Shahid Kapoor.
