Ranbir Kapoor is the first guest on Kareena Kapoor’s What Women Want season 4. The actor-cousins had previously filmed the episode and were spotted on the sets. In a brand-new show promo, Ranbir speaks candidly about changes in his life, including getting married to Alia Bhatt and welcoming their baby Raha Kapoor.
Kareena Kapoor greets Ranbir with a sweet hug as the video begins. Ranbir looked casual in an all-denim outfit, while Kareena chose a red halter-neck jumpsuit. Upon meeting, Ranbir says, “Thank you for inviting me. This is the only thing I was excited about. Unfortunately, we only meet on couches.”
Kareena responds, disagreeing with him, “No, that I don’t think.” She then questioned Raha Kapoor, the daughter of Ranbir and Alia. “I want to talk about all the big events last year. You got married, and you became a dad. Have you changed her diaper?”
Then Ranbir replies, “I have changed the diaper… but I am more of a mastering in burping.” The two also spoke about the widespread belief that female actors shouldn’t be taller than their male counterparts. Ranbir dismisses it and uses the excellent example of the “three Khans,” Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir, who have collaborated with several female actresses of all heights.
Referring to one of Ranbir’s famous lines from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Kareena questions him, “What is that moment when you got the feeling from Alia that I’m ready for daal chawal?” Ranbir quickly says, “I would like to consider myself a good husband.” Kareena accused Ranbir of anticipating the questions because he easily answered them.
In April of last year, Ranbir married Alia. Raha Kapoor, their daughter, was born in November. Recently, they celebrated their first Holi as a married couple and as parents.
Ranbir Kapoor is enjoying the success of his most recent film, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The movie, which starred Shraddha Kapoor, was released on March 8.
