The Kashmir Files Witnesses Phenomenal Growth, Collects Rs 15.10 Cr On Sunday

The filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files has witnessed phenomenal growth on its third-day box office collection. Mithun Chakraborty and Anupam Kher’s starrer film revolves around the genocide of the Kashmiri Pandits community, has earned Rs 15.10 cr on Sunday, March 13. It was released on March 11 and had collected Rs 3.55 cr on its first day and Rs 8.50 cr on its second day. So the total box office collection till now is Rs 27.15 cr.

Indian Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collection of The Kashmir Files on his official Twitter handle. Appreciating the film’s performance, Taran tweeted, “#TheKashmirFiles shows PHENOMENAL GROWTH… Grows 325.35% on Day 3 [vis-à-vis Day 1], NEW RECORD… Metros + mass belt, multiplexes + single screens, the *opening weekend biz* is TERRIFIC across the board… Fri 3.55 cr, Sat 8.50 cr, Sun 15.10 cr. Total: ₹ 27.15 cr. #India biz.”

The film’s growth has been recorded even with many odds, including limited promotions, limited screen count, non-holiday release and the big competition from Gangubai Kathiawadi and Radhe Shyam (Hindi).

Written and directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and produced by Zee Studios and Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri. The Kashmir Files is a heart-touching story of the pain, suffering, struggle and trauma of Kashmiri pandits. It questions eye-opening facts about democracy, religion, politics and humanity.

The Kashmir Files also stars Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumaar, Puneet Issar and Chinmay Mandlekar in special performances.
