On the eve of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the trailer of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer Shershaah was released. Shershaah tells the story of Kargil War martyr Captain Vikram Batra, whose code-name was Shershaah. Paramvir Chakra winner Captain Batra fought till his last breath, which contributed immensely to India finally winning the Kargil War in 1999.
Shershaah is directed by Tamil director Vishnu Vardhan and the film marks its directorial debut in Bollywood. It is co-produced by Dharma Productions and Kaash Entertainments. The trailer was launched on the eve of Kargil Divas on July 26. The trailer opens with Sidharth Malhotra as Captain Vikram Batra. We get to see the various aspects of a soldier’s life professional as well as personal.

Shershaah will premier on Amazon Prime ahead of the Independence Day weekend on August 12, 2021.
