On October 5th, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned numerous celebrities concerning the Mahadev money laundering case, including Hina Khan, Kapil Sharma, and Huma Qureshi. According to reports, the ED recently summoned Shraddha Kapoor in connection with the same online betting case.
According to a Hindustan Times report, Shraddha Kapoor has been called by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the online betting case regarding the Mahadev app. The actress is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, October 6th. She promoted the app, and the agency suspects that the payment she received for it came from criminal earnings.
The ED summoned TV actress Hina Khan, comedian Kapil Sharma, and Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi yesterday in connection with their suspected role in promoting the gambling app Mahadev. On October 6th, all three of them must appear before the agency. Aside from that, celebrities who attended the luxurious Dubai wedding of one of the app’s promoters, Sourabh Chandrakar, will be questioned. The ED may also summon social media influencers who promoted the app.
According to earlier reports, Ranbir Kapoor had also been summoned by the ED. However, it was discovered that the actor had been summoned to elaborate on his knowledge of the source of the money he received for promoting the app.
The founders of the Mahadev app, Sourabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal, allegedly paid the celebrities with money collected through betting.
