Shahrukh Khan is making his comeback to movies after almost four years. He has shared the teaser of his upcoming film Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, and it will release on January 25, 2023.
Sharing the teaser on Twitter, Shahrukh wrote, “I know it’s late… But remember the date… Pathaan time starts now… See you in cinemas on 25th January, 2023. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Celebrate #Pathaan with #YRF50 only at a big screen near you.”
The one minute video features John and Deepika. Shahrukh was also seen walking out of the shadows in a white shirt and long hair, but his face was not visible. The teaser starts with John saying, “Humare desh mein hum naam rakhte hain apne dharm ya jaati se, par uske paas inme se kuch nahi tha.” Deepika further adds, “Yahan tak ke uske paas koi naam rakhne wala bhi nahi tha, kuch tha, toh bas yehi ek desh.”
Then Shahrukh appears in silhouette, sporting long hair and says, “To usne desh ko hi apna dharm maan liya aur desh ki raksha ko apna karam. Yeh naam kyun pada, kaise pada, iske liye thoda intezaar kijiye.” With this, Shahrukh’s dialogue teaser ends with the title and release date.
Shah Rukh was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s 2018 directorial film, Zero. Starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. He produced three films under his Red Chillies Entertainment banner from 2020 to 2021- Kaamyaab, Class of 83 and Bob Biswas.
