Pathaan’s second day at the box office collected 70cr in Hindi, setting another record for Shah Rukh Khan

After its release on Wednesday, Pathaan has been breaking records. After setting a record for the largest opening in Bollywood, the Hindi version of the Siddharth Anand-directed film brought in over 70 crores on its second day, which also happened to be a holiday. Actors Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone play the lead roles in the movie, and Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia play supporting ones. In the film, Salman Khan also makes a brief appearance.

Pathaan became the highest-grossing Bollywood opening movie in history on Wednesday, with domestic sales of 57. On day 2, which was Thursday and a holiday for Republic Day, it eventually surpassed 100 crores. It goes without saying that the movie’s second-day earnings were the biggest for a Bollywood movie.

Pathaan made at least 70 crores in the Hindi language, and the final figures may be higher, said Boxofficeindia.com. This would bring its two-day earnings to about 127 crores.

Taran Adarsh, a film industry expert, revealed the day two box office totals at three main national chains on Thursday night, including INOX, Cinepolis, and PVR. He tweeted, “#Pathaan at *national chains*… Day 2… Update: 10.10 pm. #PVR: 13.75 cr #INOX: 11.65 cr #Cinepolis 6.20 cr Total: ₹ 31.60 cr UNSTOPPABLE. Note: #Pathaan *entire Day 1* at *national chains* was ₹ 27.08 cr.”

Midnight showings were also added to meet the enormous demand across the nation as the movie opened on Wednesday. The film premiered on 8000 screens worldwide, including 2500 screens overseas, and it might continue to set many new records in the upcoming weekend.
