The megastar of Malayalam cinema, Mammootty, is now enjoying success thanks to the excellent reviews for his most recent film, Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam. The veteran actor is conquering hearts with his roles as James and Sundaram in the movie. He worked with the famed director Lijo Jose Pellissery on the project. Mammootty is now starring as a brilliant cinematographer in Roby Varghese Raj’s debut feature film. The project, tentatively named Megastar 421, now has an official trailer.
Mammootty recently spoke with the main Tamil media channel Open Pannaa, where he discussed his forthcoming movies, including Megastar 421. The veteran actor unexpectedly revealed that the suspense thriller’s official name is “Kannur Squad,” much to the audience’s surprise. The project’s creators should formally announce the title and first-look poster in a few weeks. Mammootty further revealed during his interview with Karthick Krishna that the Roby Varghese Raj movie is a unique project with a big budget.
The movie, which marks the directorial debut of Roby Varghese Raj, a cinematographer, is praised for being an intense investigation thriller centred on a murder case. It is rumoured that the megastar will play a senior police officer in the film, mainly filmed in Kerala and North India’s Pala region. The film’s stellar star cast includes Sharafudheen, Sunny Wayne, Gayathri Arun, Azeez, and others who play supporting parts. Shooting on the project began on December 27, 2022.
