Sam Bahadur, a biopic based on Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, was shot to completion, and the cast and crew celebrated by throwing a party.
Last night in Mumbai, Meghna Gulzar, Vicky Kaushal, Ronnie Screwvala, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and many more attended the film’s wrap-up celebration.
After the film’s filming ended, the entire Sam Bahandur team smiled at the camera and showed their happiness.
Earlier in the day, filmmaker Meghna Gulzar shared the news about the wrap-up on her social media. She captioned her post, “We’re OK! #SamBahadur Filming Wrap. Thank you, Team #SamBahadur, for a lifetime of learning and memories!”
Based on the biography of Sam Manekshaw, who served as the Indian Army’s Chief of Army Staff during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and became the nation’s first field marshal.
The movie, which also has Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh in the lead parts, was directed by Meghna Gulzar and is produced by Ronnie Screwvala (RSVP). The movie is scheduled to premiere on December 1, 2023.
In addition to Sam Bahadur, RSVP movies also support the war film Pippa. Based on Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta’s war memoir The Burning Chaffees, Pippa tells the tale of the gruelling 48-hour Battle of Garibpur, which took place on the eastern front of the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971 and laid the groundwork for the coming conflict.
