Filmmaker Karan Johar has announced his new production venture, Bedhadak. He shared some posters of the film on social media on Thursday morning. The film will feature Shanaya Kapoor, Lakshya Lalwani and Gurfateh Pirzada. Shanaya will mark her Bollywood debut with Bedhadak, while Lakshya and Gurfateh have already done some acting projects. Bedhadak will be directed by Shashank Khaitan, who earlier directed Dhadak, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter.
Announcing on Twitter, Karan Johar shared some film’s poster and captioned it, “We’re bringing to you a new era of love – one that’s filled with passion, intensity & boundaries that will be crossed…#Bedhadak! Starring, our latest addition to the Dharma Family – #Lakshya, @shanayakapoor & @gurfatehpirzada! Directed by the exceptional #ShashankKhaitan.”
Shanaya Kapoor is the daughter of Bollywood actor Sanjay Kapoor. Before making her Bollywood debut with Bedhadak, she worked as an assistant director on her cousin Janhvi Kapoor’s film, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. Even she has done some advertisements. Shanaya will be seen with Lakshya Lalwani and Gurfateh Pirzada.
Lakshya Lalwani is supposed to make his debut with Dostana 2 and be seen in Bedhadak. He has acted in a few television shows- Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya and Adhuri Kahaani Hamari.
Gurfateh Pirzada was last seen in Guilty with Kiara Advani and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor. He was also part of director Amit Khanna’s ‘Friends In Law’ and ‘Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele’.
The release date of Bedhdak is not announced yet.
