Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the trailer of Jyothika and Sasikumar starrer upcoming film Udanpirappe. The film will mark the 50th film of actress Jyothika’s career. It is touted to be an emotional family drama. Udanpirappe is part of a four-film deal signed between Amazon Prime Video and actor Suriya and Jyotika’s production banner 2D Entertainment. Jyothika essays the role of a typical village woman in the film. She has aced it with her get-up.
The trailer opens with Jyotika’s character as a middle-aged woman who was not talking with her brother for many years due to differences between her husband and brother. Her brother character, played by Sasikumar, who is hot-headed and thinks justice has to be claimed anyhow. He tried to solve the problems of villagers without the involvement of any government authorities.
However, from the trailer, it is known that Jyotika’s husband essayed by Samuthirakani, who rests his belief in law diligently and believes in non-violence as the differences intensify over the years in Jyoyika’s Husband and brother. She is trying to manage her own life while solving the difference between both of them.
Directed by Era Saravanan and produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment. The star cast also includes Nivedhithaa Sathish, Soori, Kalaiyarasan, and Siddhu in crucial roles.
Udanpirappe will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on October 14.
