Actor John Abraham starrer upcoming action film Attack is ready to release on Republic Day 2022. Based on a true story of a hostage crisis, written and directed by debutant director Lakshya Raj Anand. The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh.
John Abraham announced this news on his Twitter handle. He shared the film’s poster along with the caption, “A hostage crisis that brought the country to its knees! This time the race is against time, get ready for #Attack. Releasing worldwide on Republic Day 2022.”
The film’s story is based on a rescue operation done by an elite commando team, led by a lone ranger (played by John). It is based on true events and a hostage crisis that brought a nation to its knees.
Attack will collaborate between Abraham’s production banner JA Entertainment, Jayantilal Gada’s Pen Studios, and Ajay Kapoor’s Kyta Productions. Attack was initially announced for an August 2020 release, then was pushed to August 13, 2021, but was later delayed due to the coronavirus-induced nationwide lockdown.
Apart from ‘Attack,’ John Abraham will be seen in ‘Ek Villain Returns’ with Arjun Kapoor, Tara Sutaria, and Disha Patani. He also has ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ with Divya Khosla Kumar. The actor recently announced the new release dates for both films after the Maharashtra government announced the reopening of theatres in the state.
