HYBE signs a contract with Disney, announcing BTS MONUMENTS: BEYOND THE STAR & more.

HYBE and The Walt Disney Company APAC (Asia-Pacific Region) announced a multi-year deal. As part of the agreement, HYBE will work with TWDC to promote worldwide the Korean music and entertainment sector’s creative excellence. Under the terms of this agreement, Disney+ [Disney plus] subscribers worldwide will be able to watch a total of five different HYBE-produced shows.

Out of them, two will include members of BTS. The BTS performance from last November at LA’s So-Fi Stadium, titled “PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LOS ANGELES,” is one of the events that will be made available through Disney’s streaming service.

A chronological documentary starring BTS’s career from its debut to the present is planned for the second BTS-themed program. The album, titled “BTS MONUMENTS: BEYOND THE STAR,” will feature music and videos from the group’s nine-year career, as well as information on how the members got to where they are now. The documentary will also show BTS going about their daily lives, current views and plans, and stories as they prep for their second chapter. In 2023, Disney’s streaming service will be the only platform where the docuseries are made publicly available.

The previously announced “IN THE SOOP: Friendcation,” starring BTS’s V, Park Seo Joon, Choi Woo Shik, Park Hyung Sik, and Peakboy, is a third confirmed program. The forthcoming series, set to debut on July 22, will feature their friendship as they go on a unique journey to enjoy the time “between daily life and rest.”

A later date will be announced for the announcement of other programs involving other HYBE Labels artists.
