Actor Rajkummar Rao has started shooting for the Hindi remake of the Telugu thriller movie HIT. The original film starred Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in the lead roles. Telugu actor Nani in association with Prashanti Tipirmeni, produced the film. The Telugu version of HIT marked the directorial debut of Sailesh Kolanu, who is also directing the Rajkummar Rao starrer.
The official T-series Twitter handle announced that the film shoot has commenced. They posted some pictures from the sets. The picture shows Rajkummar posing with Dil Raju, his wife and Bhushan Kumar, among others. They captioned the post, “The much anticipated Hindi remake, Hit – The First Case begins with a mahurat pooja ceremony.”
Rajkummar Rao is excited about his new venture. Earlier, in a statement, he had said, “When I saw HIT, I instantly connected with it. It’s an engaging story relevant to today’s environment. As an actor, I am always on the lookout to play characters I haven’t explored, and HIT gives me a chance to do that. I’m looking forward to taking this journey with Sailesh and Dil Raju.”
The film tells the story of a cop who is tracing a missing woman. Sanya Malhotra plays the female lead in the movie. HIT stands for Homicide Intervention Team. HIT is a massive investigative franchise in the South, and the makers plan to give the Hindi remake a similar spin on a larger canvas.
