The trailer of Bollywood’s famous actor Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film ‘Toofan’ is Out, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. It is a sports drama film in which Farhan will be seen as a boxer. Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak Kapur are also there in the movie. After Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Toofan is the second film in the combination of Farhan Akhtar and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
Taking Twitter, Farhan Akhtar shared the trailer and wrote, “The storm has arrived, are you ready? #ToofaanTrailer out now.” The film narrates the story of Aziz Ali (Akhtar), who rises from the ashes, not once but twice. Aziz Ali, aka Ajju Bhai, turns boxer from being a street fighter in Dongri. How he became a celebrity, then his life shattered after the ban of five years. Once again, he returns to the ring, this time to fight for redemption.
The trailer was released on Wednesday through a virtual press conference in which Farhan, Mrinal, Rakesh and Ritesh were present. Farhan, while talking about his character, said- “Toofaan is a true labour of love. No matter how physically strong one is, stepping into the shoes of a boxer is a whole new ball game. It took 8 to 9 months of rigorous training to get into the skin character, and it made me realize how physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding the sport actually is. I am thoroughly excited to see all our hard work on the screen and glad that we are going to be able to take the movie to audiences across 240 countries and territories with Amazon Prime Video.” The film is all set to have a World Premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 16.
