The multi-talented actor, Farhan Akhtar, is all set to return to direction after a long time. He is back in the director’s hat with the Movie Jee Le Zaraa, and the movie will be based on three women on a road trip. Previously he delivered road trip classics like ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, but this time it will be about a girls gang. Movie ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ starring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
Sharing the motion poster on Twitter, Farhan wrote, “Did someone say road trip? Thrilled to announce my next film as director, and what better day than 20 years of Dil Chahta Hai to do it. #JeeLeZaraa with @priyankachopra @katrinakaif @aliaabhatt will commence filming in 2022, and I cannot wait to get this show on the road.”
The film is written by Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar and Reema Kagti, under the banner of Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby. Jee Le Zaraa will go on production in 2022 and will be released in 2023.
Farhan made his directorial debut 20 years ago with Dil Chahta Hai, starring Aamir Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Saif Ali Khan. He recently starred in the boxing drama Toofan, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
