Sneha Khan is a lifestyle and a mommy blogger. She talks about food, fashion and motherhood.
1- Hello Sneha, glad to interview you. Can you tell our readers about yourself and your blog?
Hi, I’m so excited to be here for the interview. I am a Mumbai-based blogger & mom of two girls, and my page is all about modest fashion & motherhood.
2- What made you decide to start blogging?
I was always interested in sharing pictures on the gram. But since the pandemic hit, I decided to start blogging as a hobby & stress buster. It turned out well, so blogging became a full-time job for me.
3- Can you tell me some of your strengths that helped you in blogging?
My family has been highly supportive and encouraging. Having that kind of encouragement helps you in pursuing your passion & interest. My family is my biggest strength and the reason for whatever I am today.
4- What best strategy worked well to get more traffic to your blog?
I believe the audience doesn’t always want to see all the good sides. My page is very relatable, and I don’t only post the glamorous bit but also the struggles of a homemaker and day-to-day routine. Hence, people relate a lot to my page and stick to it.
5- How do you want to improve yourself in the next year?
I want to stick to quality over quantity. I want to get as creative with my content, experiment more, and bring out the best in me.
Tell me about your proudest achievement.
Lately, I had a follower who came up to me by following my page & complimented me on how my page helps her with her newborn. It was probably one of the best feelings in the world.
6- Where would you like to be in blogging five years from now?
I am looking forward to working with big brands in future. Let’s see what the future has on the plate for me.
What was the most challenging moment in your blogging journey so far?
Shooting with a newborn has been very challenging. However, no complaints, and I have been working more post my second baby.
7- What would you say is the biggest challenge about fashion and food blogging?
It’s a competitive community. My fashion is modest & no skin show as such. So many fashion bloggers can wear & do more than I can. Brands/businesses sometimes fail to see engagement over several followers. I have lost out on many collaborations because other bloggers do it for barter or free of cost.
8- How would you describe your style, and is there a person who is a fashion inspiration to you?
Modest fashion like Midi dresses, kaftans, Indian wear and classic pieces is what I believe in. It suits me for who I am. I like Neha Dhupia’s sense of styling.
9- What would you have chosen as a career if not blogging?
I would probably be a kindergarten teacher again.
10- What is that one message you would like to give to budding bloggers?
Please don’t undervalue yourself. Avoid working for free. It’s hard work. Always choose good quality work over random, senseless content.
