Fans have been impatiently awaiting the much-awaited Dunki, Shah Rukh Khan’s first collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani, after the tremendous success of the high-octane action mass entertainers Pathaan and Jawan. In significant roles in the comedy-drama are Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Vikram Kocchar, and Anil Grover.
The recent announcement about the movie sparked the audience’s curiosity, even though the teaser had already made them smile. Thus, it’s safe to assume that today, with the trailer’s official release, excitement for the movie has increased even more.
The producers finally released the trailer for the eagerly awaited film Dunki on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. In a three-and-a-half-minute trailer, Hardy (SRK) tells how he met his four buddies who wanted to travel to London in 1995 in Laltu, Punjab. He then introduces his buddies Balli (a barber), Buggu (a clothes store owner), and Sukhi (Vicky Kaushal), who is crazy about speaking English, to the crowd. They are joined by Manu (Taapsee Pannu), who will stop at nothing to defend Hardy.
Boman Irani’s character Gulati, who is portraying an English teacher, is further introduced to us in the trailer. The story of these people who hope to go abroad is portrayed as a roller coaster of drama, humour, and emotions, with Hardy guiding them along the way. In addition to Shah Rukh Khan playing an elderly role, the film appears to be told in flashback.
Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan have jointly backed the film Dunki, which will be released under the Jio Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films production banner. By the end of this month the movie will be released on December 21, which is Christmas.
