On the occasion of completing 361 years for the battle of Pavankhind, makers reveal a new poster for the movie Pavankhind. The poster sees Baji Prabhu Deshpande standing on top of a pile of corpses of Adilshahi troops, and Actor Chinmay Mandlekar looms in the background as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Chinmay Mandlekar took to Instagram to share the new poster of Movie Pavankhind.
Battle of Pavankhind was a rearguard last stand on July 13 1660, at a mountain pass in the vicinity of fort Vishalgad, near Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The fight occurred between the Maratha Warrior and the Army of Adil shah Sultanate. The film is based on the life of an extraordinary warrior, the great ‘Baji Prabhu Deshpande’, who fought the battle to enable Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s escape from Panhala fort; he was the hero who sacrificed his life for his king.
‘Pavankhind’ is produced by Ajay-Aniruddha Arekar under the banner of Almonds Creations. The film directed by Digpal Lanjekar, featuring Chinmay Mandlekar, Akshay Waghmare.
