The participants completed the nomination challenge on Bigg Boss OTT 2’s 10th episode when Jiya Shankar’s emotional breakdown caught viewers’ attention.
Avinash Sachdev unexpectedly nominated Jiya Shankar throughout the nomination task. He said Jiya had neglected their friendship in favour of Palak Purswani’s company. Jiya allegedly ignored Avinash and Falaq Naazz while spending a lot of time with Palak, according to Avinash. In addition, he described Jiya as an “opportunist” who couldn’t handle the truth being used against her and didn’t believe in her friends.
In an unexpected turn of events, Jiya Shankar nominated Avinash in retaliation, expressing her disappointment and claiming that they once had a close bond but that Avinash had betrayed her trust. After this had gone on for a while, Jiya started crying, followed by an instant panic attack. Jiya had trouble controlling her emotions despite the best attempts of Akanksha Puri, Manisha Rani, Abhishek Malhan, Bebika Dhurve and Aaliya Siddiqui to comfort her. Jiya requested Bigg Boss to let her leave the activity area again and stated, “I can’t breathe.”
The activity area door was unlocked as the nomination task was over, and Jiya ran into the bathroom while crying. She was followed by Jad, Manisha, Akanksha Puri, Abhishek and Aaliyah to comfort and support her. Afterwards, Jiya revealed in Jad Hadid and Akanksha Puri that she had no idea Avinash would betray her trust by nominating her. Jiya admitted she was mistaken and that she believed Avinash.
