Singer Ananya Birla is gearing up for her big Bollywood debut with Shlok – The Desi Sherlock, and now she is revealing the name of her character, Jane.
Helmed by Kunal Kohli, the movie Shlok. The Desi Sherlock, the film stars Bobby Deol alongside Ananya Birla, the daughter of Aditya Birla Group’s Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla and educationist and mental health activist Neerja Birla.
Sharing a picture with the filmmaker, Ananya Birla captioned her post, “@kunalkohli, thank you for helping me bring Jane to life.”
The deeds and details of the film are still under wraps, but from the update from Ananya, we know her character’s name is Jane.
Filmmaker Kunal Kohli kick-started the shoot a week ago. He took to his social media profile and wrote, “Starting my next film today. `I need your love & blessings. @iambobbydeol @ananyabirla.”
Ananya Birla is a well-known singer who has had several hits and performed abroad. She has played at some of Asia’s greatest music festivals and events, including Sunburn, Asia’s largest electronic music festival, Global Citizen, and Oktoberfest. She has also toured with Wiz Khalifa.
Recently, she collaborated with A.R. Rahman on the cheering song “Hindustani Way” for the Indian Olympic squad.
