Amazon prime video has shared the trailer of the upcoming film Sharmaji Namkeen. First time in Hindi cinema, legendary actors late Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal play the same character. The film also stars Juhi Chawla, Suhail Nayyar, Taaruk Raina, Satish Kaushik, Sheeba Chaddha and Isha Talwar.
Sharing the film’s trailer on Twitter, Amazon Prime Video wrote, “one legend embracing us with warmth, another taking us through, Sharmaji’s story-of life, love, and laughter is surely the one to take away your blues! #SharmajiNamkeenOnPrime, march 31.”
Actor Paresh Rawal also shared the trailer on his Twitter handle and captioned it, “Sharmaji Namkeen is coming to add some spice to your life #SharmajiNamkeenOnPrime, March 31 on @PrimeVideoIN #RishiKapoor.”
The trailer shows the story of a 58-year old widower (played by Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal) who struggles to cope with his boring retirement. He takes up the most random chores to keep himself busy and away from loneliness but only ends up getting in his sons’ ways. Then he finds happiness after discovering his passion for cooking.
Directed by Hitesh Bhatia and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment in association with Honey Trehan and Abhishek Chaubey of MacGuffin Pictures.
Sharmaji Namkeen will premiere on Amazon Prime Video On March 31, 2022.
