Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi starrer upcoming film Selfiee has started their shoot Today. The film is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam-language comedy-drama Driving Licence, released in 2019 and featured Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
The film’s production banner Dharma production shared the picture of clapboards with Selfiee written on their Twitter handle and captioned it, “Day 1 of #Selfiee & we need all your love, blessings and good vibes!”
Emraan Hashmi has also revealed on Twitter that he is starting the shoot of the upcoming entertainer. He shared a selfie in a black t-shirt and wrote, “Selfiee time.”
Earlier, producer Karan Johar had released the teaser of Selfiee on Twitter. In the teaser, Akshay and Emraan can be seen dancing together. Sharing the teaser, he wrote, “Presenting #Selfiee starring two absolutely smashing actors – Akshay Kumar & Emraan Hashmi and directed by Raj Mehta. Hop into the frame and pose because shooting begins soon!”
Directed by Good Newwz fame Raj Mehta and produced by Johar’s Dharma Productions and Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films along with Sukumaran’s Prithviraj Productions and Magic Frames.
The film is expected to be released in cinemas later this year.
