The trailer for the upcoming movie Ae Watan Mere Watan was released today, March 4, on many social media platforms. Filmed amidst the backdrop of the historic Quit India Movement of 1942, the film is based on actual events and depicts a pivotal phase in India’s freedom movement.
Sara Ali Khan plays the lead character of freedom fighter Usha Mehta in the patriotic thriller-drama, rising as the strong ‘voice of the nation.’ The trailer introduces Bombay college student Usha, who is 22 years old. She founded an underground radio station, uniting the country against the British, driven by her unshakeable commitment to India’s freedom.
Sara Ali Khan, Abhay Verma, Sachin Khedekar, Sparsh Shrivastav, Anand Tiwari, and Alexx O’Neil are pivotal actors in Ae Watan Mere Watan’s outstanding ensemble cast. The spectacular guest appearance of Emraan Hashmi heightens the mystery of the movie.
Kannan Iyer is the film’s director, and he and Darab Farooqui are co-writers. The patriotic thriller was produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment. It will debut on Amazon Prime Video on March 21.
