In 2022, the country was stormed up in Yash’s historical action film K.G.F.: Chapter 2. After that, it broke box office records and became the most successful Indian movie. In terms of drawing Indian audiences into the theatres, K.G.F. 2 changed the game. Kantara, directed by Rishab Shetty, was another Hombale Films movie that did exceptionally well at the box office. But, Kishore Kumar, who portrayed the title character in Kantara, believes that K.G.F. 2 by Yash was “mindless.”
Kishore Kumar said in an interview with India Today, “I don’t know if it’s right or wrong, but I haven’t watched K.G.F. 2. It is not my type of cinema, and it is a personal choice. I would rather watch a small film that is not successful but deals with something serious than something mindless.”
Yash, renowned for his modest and calm nature, had earlier declared that Kantara is also “my film” after the host called Rishab Shetty’s movie as “your film,” even though everyone is free to have their own opinions.
“Not your film but a Kannada film,” remarked the host, to which Yash interrupted him and said, “Sir, it is also my film. You said it’s not my film but also my film.” At the India Today Conclave a few months ago, this took place.
Similarly, the K.G.F. franchise’s creators have revealed a significant update for the movie’s Chapter 3. K.G.F.: Chapter 1 and K.G.F.: Chapter 2 were the franchise’s first two releases, and they were both major hits. The important news right now is K.G.F.: Chapter 3, which will start filming by 2025 as director Prashanth Neel is working on completing the Prabhas-led Salaar. The filming will continue till September 2023.
