Actor Jayasurya shared the teaser of his upcoming Malayalam suspense film Sunny. A milestone of his career as it marks his 100th film. The film will release on Amazon Prime Video on September 23. On completing 20 years in South Indian Cinema, the 43-year-old actor presented his 100th film.
Actor Jayasurya shared the film’s poster and teaser on Twitter. He captioned it, “Thank you for 20 years of your unconditional love and support. I am truly humbled. Here I present to you my 100th movie, #Sunny, releases on September 23 on @PrimeVideoIN #Teaser out now.”
Written and directed by Ranjith Sankar, the movie is bankrolled by Ranjith Sankar and Jayasurya under the banner of Dreams N Beyond. In the film, Jayasurya plays the titular role of a hopeless musician. He lost everything in his life – money, love, and his best friend. According to the official synopsis, “Shattered and hopeless, he smuggles himself back from Dubai to Kerala during the global pandemic and shuts himself from society. Deeply stuck in an emotional turmoil, and while killing himself softly and slowly, Sunny befriends a couple of curious strangers over Seven days, who change his perspective.”
The Director of the film, Ranjith Sankar, is happy to have an actor like Jayasurya headline the film. He stated, “The film is replete with human emotions that we have carefully woven into the script, which the audiences will relate to. I am hopeful that viewers will appreciate our film. I am looking forward to its premiere on Amazon Prime Video, which will help us showcase our work to a global audience.”
Film Sunny will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 23.
