Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, postponed again. The film was scheduled to release on January 7, 2022. Due to a sudden spike in Covid-19 cases, RRR has now pushed it to later. The maker of the film announced it on social media.
Sharing the announcement on Twitter, RRR makers shared the statement with the caption, “Keeping the best interests of all the parties involved in mind, we are forced to postpone our film. Our sincere thanks to all the fans and audience for their unconditional love. #RRRPostponed #RRRMovie”
Their statement reads, “In spite of our relentless efforts, some situations are beyond our control. As many Indian states are closing theatres, we are left with no choice but to ask you to hold on to your excitement. We promised to bring back The Glory of Indian Cinema, and at the right time, WE WILL.”
Produced by DVV Danayya and music composed by MM Keeravani. The film is a period drama that narrates a fictional tale of Telugu freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Raju, played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR. RRR also stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, Olivia Morris, Shriya Saran and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles.
RRR will release in five languages – Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
