Madhuri Dixit, an actress Snehlata Dixit, Nene’s mother, has passed away. On Sunday morning, she died. 90 years old was she.
Yesterday at around 3:00 pm, Snehalata Dixit’s final rituals were performed in the Worli cremation. The actor’s mother’s burial was held on Sunday, and Madhuri Dixit, her husband, Dr Shriram Nene, and their younger son Ryan were all in attendance.
Madhuri, the youngest of four children—she has one younger brother and two older sisters—posted an emotional message and a photo with her mother.
She captioned her post, “Woke up this morning to find Aai’s room empty. It feels surreal. She taught us to embrace and celebrate life. She gave so much to so many people. We will miss her dearly, but she will live on in our memories. Her wit, positivity and grace were infectious. We will celebrate her life together through our memories. Om shanti om.”
Madhuri last appeared in the Maja Ma movie last year. She made a comeback in the acting world with the web series The Fame Game.
In 2020, Dixit made her professional singing debut with the English single Candle, which she dedicated to front-line COVID-19 pandemic fighters. In 2022, she dropped her second single, Tu Hai Mera.
She also participates in Dancing Deewane, a dance reality show, as a judge.
