Arbaaz Khan believes Shah Rukh Khan “couldn’t pull off” as a TV host

Arbaaz Khan has made headlines due to his latest chat show, which features veteran Bollywood actors. He had been heard sharing certain family secrets with Helen, his stepmother. Currently, he is discussing his hosting skills and how Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan could pull it off on television while Shah Rukh Khan’s connection with the audience was missing.

For a long time, actor Arbaaz has been hosting shows. Earlier, he led the show Pinch, featuring stars such as Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kapil Sharma. Now hosting The Invincibles series, Khan has also been chatting with Waheeda Rehman, Salim Khan and Helen.

As most people know, Shah Rukh Khan began his career as a television host in 2007 with Kaun Banega Crorepati. He also appeared in Zor Ka Jhatka: Complete Wipeout (2011) and Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain (2008). But Amitabh Bachchan took over the KBC while the other shows ended with no further episodes. According to Arbaaz Khan, the audience likely thought SRK was “fake.”

Arbaaz Khan quoted in the Free Press Journal claiming, “How Salman Khan bounced back with Dus Ka Dum and Mr Amitabh Bachchan with Kaun Banega Crorepati, even their film careers revived post this television reality shows. It’s only about the demeanour, and Shah Rukh Khan couldn’t pull it off.”

Arbaaz stated, “I think he couldn’t bring niceness and naturalism to the small screen. People must have found him fake, and there were two people. At the end of the day, you can’t be fake in front of the television, or you have to be very smart like Amitabh Bachchan. He knows his audience, but Shah Rukh Khan couldn’t do it.”

While on the work front, Arbaaz Khan was recently spotted in the web series Tanaav.
