Vijay Verma and director and producer Zoya Akhtar are celebrating Gully Boy’s fourth anniversary.
Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar took to her social media and shared a picture with an ensemble cast, including Ranveer Singh, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Vijay Varma. She wrote, “Missing Safeena, We Turned 4 #gullyboy @ranveersingh @aliaabhatt @itsvijayvarma @siddhantchaturvedi @kalkikanmani @reemakagti1 @ritesh_sid @faroutakhtar @excelmovies @tigerbabyofficial.”
Safeena, who was absent from the scene, was played by Alia Bhatt in the movie.
Actor Vijay Verma also shared an animated poster of the film. He wrote, “4 years of #GullyBoy, The movie made with so much love, passion and compassion that it resonated with all and apna time aayega became the anthem. Big love to the entire team and the audience who had made the film their own. Happy Valentine’s Day, people, Esp my darlings @zoieakhtar @ranveersingh @aliaabhatt @siddhantchaturvedi.”
The film, which was directed by Zoya Akhtar and featured Vijay Raaz and Kalki Koechlin in significant parts, was well welcomed by the audience. The underground hip-hop musicians of India were the subject of the film. The movie was also chosen as India’s official submission for the 92nd Oscars.
On the professional front, Zoya recently finished filming her upcoming project, an Indian adaptation of the well-known comic book series “The Archies,” which will be available for direct streaming on Netflix.
