Yash Raj Films Released the first look poster of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer film, Shamshera. Actor Ranbir Kapoor’s 39th Birthday, YRF gave him a special surprise by releasing the film’s first poster. Karan Malhotra directed the film, and it also stars Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt.
The film’s first poster featuring Ranbir Kapoor with an intense look and sports a mark on his forehead. The poster has a tag line that reads, “A legend will rise”. YRF shared the film’s first poster on their official Twitter handle. They captioned it, “The legend will leave his mark. #RanbirKapoor | #Shamshera | #Shamshera18March2022 | #YRF50”.
Shamshera is reportedly set in the 1800s and is based on the story of a dacoit tribe fighting for their rights and independence from the British. The film was initially scheduled to release in 2020 but was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This is Ranbir Kapoor’s first film after the 2018 release Sanju, a biopic of actor Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir played the titular role. Besides Shamshera, Ranbir Kapoor has Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ with Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Vaani Kapoor.
Shamshera is set to release worldwide in theatres on March 18, 2022.
