Amazon miniTV, Amazon’s free video streaming service, recently released a fantasy drama, ‘Lucky Guy’, which follows the story of a young boy named ‘Lucky’, who is blessed with a locket that completely changes his life from the day he is born. Swagger Sharma who plays ‘Lucky’ in the series recently opened up on the production of the title, revealing many interesting instances and situations that the team had to go through. The series which is currently streaming on Amazon miniTV offers a flavourful meld of emotions such as comedy, drama, fantasy, romance, and a lot of luck!
Talking about the shoot and the time spent on the series, Swagger commented, “The shoot was for around a month, with a few offs in between and overall time spent on this show was roughly 10 months to a year which includes script writing, the whole pre-production process, the production, and then significant amount of time was spent on post-production. Since it is a VFX-heavy and long-duration show, post-production and music took most of the time. We have given a year of our life to this show.”
When asked about the incident when he wished to have the Lucky Locket, Swagger wholeheartedly shared the hardships they faced while shooting, hoping to change the situation with good fortune. “Actually, we were shooting around December and January in Delhi, so there was a huge temperature drop. At that time, I wished that if only I had this lucky locket, we could have shot the show at normal temperature because, during late night shoots, the temperature used to be so low that even after wearing 4-5 layers, we used to feel cold. If there were any fighting, or running sequences, it affected everyone’s health and there was a time when the director used to take medicine and sleep on the set and someone from the cast was not well, so that was a hard phase. I wished to obtain that Lucky Locket to change the circumstances.”, he shared.
