Vidya Balan has teamed up with filmmaker Suresh Triveni once again for the film Jalsa; previously, they worked together for ‘Tumhari Sulu’. Vidya started shooting for her upcoming movie Jalsa. The film will also star Shefali Shah in a lead role.
Film Jalsa started their shoot on August 12. Vidya Took Twitter to announce the same. She shared a motion poster with the caption, “Beyond excited to reunite with #SureshTriveni and to team-up with the brilliant @ShefaliShah_ to create something special! 2022 mein #Jalsa hoga! #JalsaBegins Filming”.
Shefali Shah also shared the announcement teaser of the film on Twitter and wrote, “Elated to announce my new film #Jalsa with the inimitable #SureshTriveni and the one and only @vidya_balan #JalsaBegins Filming”.
Along with Vidya and Shefali, the film also stars Vidhatri Bandi, Rohini Hattangadi, Iqbal Khan, Gurpal Singh and Surya Kasibhatla. Manav Kaul will have a special appearance. The film is written by Prajwal Chandrashekar and Suresh Triveni. Jalsa is slated for a 2022 release.
