Veteran actress Seema Deo, well-known for her contributions to Hindi and Marathi cinema, passed away on Thursday, August 24, at 83. She received recognition for her work in famous movies like Sanjeev Kumar and Jaya Bhaduri’s Koshish (1972) and Anupam Kher and Rekha’s Sansar (1987). Abhinay, Seema’s son, shared the terrible news of her passing and said she had been suffering from Alzheimer’s.
Abhinay Deo, the son of Seema Deo and a well-known actor recognized for his work in the movies Blackmail and Delhi Belly, revealed in a statement to the Indian Express that “Mom passed away earlier today. She was fine; she was suffering from Alzheimer’s, but otherwise, she was fine.”
Her younger son Ajinkya Deo, a well-known actor who worked alongside Ajay Devgn in movies like Tanhaji, addressed his mother’s health situation on Twitter in 2020. Social media was flooded with greetings and blessings for the senior actress from Netizens.
At Shivaji Park, the final rituals will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Her husband, Ramesh Deo, who was 93 years old and had also worked in Hindi and Marathi films, passed away in 2022.
