Director Arunachalam Vaidyanathan (Arun Vaidyanathan) is currently working on a children’s movie titled Shot Boot 3. In the film, Actress Sneha will be playing the female lead, a strict mom, while director Venkat Prabhu plays her pair. Shot Boot 3 went on floors on Wednesday in Chennai.
Musician AR Rahman launched the film’s first look poster on Twitter. Sharing the poster on Twitter, he wrote, “Best wishes to @Arunvaid and the entire team of #ShotBootThree for the launch of the film.”
Director Arun Vaidyanathan told The Times of India, “Initially when I spoke to Sneha, she was hesitant and said she hadn’t done such a role before. But once I went and narrated her the script to, she laughed and said, ‘It’s hilarious, I’m going to do this,” says the Director, who has previously worked with the actress in the 2009-thriller Achchamundu! Achchamundu! He adds, “Generally, people tell me that I keep associating with Prasanna (who played that film’s male lead and is also Sneha’s husband now), so finally, I have managed to work with Sneha again. She is my good friend and said she was doing the film only for me.”
When asked about his name change, Arun Vaidyanathan explains,” “Arunachalam is my actual name, but I shortened it when I entered films. I was born in Thiruvannamalai, and I am a devotee of Ramana Maharishi, so I decided to revert to my original name.”
Produced by Universe Creations and Trident Arts, Rajesh Vaidhya is composing the music for Shot Boot 3. Sudharshan Srinivasan is handling the camera work of the film.
